This is a larger than life self-portrait which I drew by looking at myself in a mirror for a week straight. The project was to draw something from life, so I chose the challenge of drawing my face. I felt silly if I sat there smiling at myself in the mirror while drawing, so I instead stayed straight-faced. Which sadly led to the outcome of this life-less portrait. Because of my lack of smile, I feel that this portrait doesn't capture me in the slightest, and doesn't look like me at all. But I am proud of the shading and realism.
