I would be a liar if I told you life was all fun and games. I would also be incorrect in saying that nothing bad ever happens. Likewise, it would be foolish for me to suggest that it is abnormal for one to feel down every once in a good while, or that life will never seem too difficult to live. But, even though all the statements I have made above are true, there is one truth that rises far above the others listed: it is impossible not to be happy. But how?

By being perfect? By having the best life imaginable? By ignoring everything sad, everything horrible, and everything worthy of devastation?

By becoming one-hundred percent selfless? By separating one's self from the world and focusing solely on inner peace?

By brainwashing yourself not to care about all the heartbreak you will experience in life? By abandoning yourself from anything and everything that may possibly cause you harm?

By forgiving and forgetting every wrong doing that has plagued your life? By turning off your emotions, thus causing nothing to protrude in your mind as being worthy of causing hurt?

By letting someone or something blindly take control of your life? By giving in to or allowing an outside force to possess you?

By hurting so much, you eventually feel nothing inside? By crying so long, your tears dry up and there is nothing left for you to emit but joy?

By ignoring everything sad, everything horrible, and everything worthy of devastation? By having the best life imaginable? By being perfect?

The answer is no.

All you have to do is want to be happy.

And you will.
