Why, hello! This article will be based on Whyvillians that have had a lot of experience in Whyville. Whyville has been around since 1999, and these Whyvillians range from generations of 2001 - 2007. I've decided to do an interview on these Whyvillians. The ones I am interviewing are Kittieme, Holiday50, Shelli223, Nicenfun, and Anyonka.

Crackle11: When did you first come on Whyville and what account was it on?

Kittieme: The only account I can really remember considering my main is this one. And that would be in 2007. (Though technically, I made my account froggieme about an hour earlier than this one.)
Holiday50: I first came on Whyville in 2003 on my first account Phoenix20.
Shelli223: I first joined Whyville April 27th 2002 on this account, shelli223. I was 12 years old at the time.
Nicenfun: I first started Whyville on January 4th, 2004 on the account ashtonfan. I ended up getting made fun of at Pool Party for my username, so I made this account on January 14th, 2004!
Anyonka: I first came on Whyville in January, 2004 on the account kiddygal.

Crackle11: How did you find out about Whyville?

Kittieme: I found out about Whyville because my group of "besties" at school were all on it. I made my account "froggieme" at my friend's house, then when I got home, I made "kittieme". I liked it better.
Holiday50: Everyone at my school had an account on Whyville so I made one too.
Shelli223: A friend told me about it and she showed me around the site a bit and helped me make an account.
Nicenfun: When I was grocery shopping with my mom, we ran into my best friend's mom and she told me how much her daughter loved Whyville. She wrote down the website and I joined the same day!
Anyonka: I found out about Whyville because my best friend at the time had heard about Whyville and wanted me to get on here with her.

Crackle11: What is your favorite Whyville memory?

Kittieme: My favorite Whyville memory . . . oh gosh. There's so many good ones, but my best would probably have to be at the 2010 Times Awards. Winning my first Times Award was beyond amazing. Such an awesome experience!
Holiday50: I have many favorite memories on Whyville! The first is when I won four Times Awards in the 2008 Whyville Times Awards ceremony. My second favorite memory is meeting wonderful people such as deriko, Morgan612, Amanda, vancyon, andreappd and ps2man1. My third favorite memory is going to the fun events such as concerts, sponsored-events like the Little Mermaid, and cleaning up trash when there was a storm.
Shelli223: Hmm too many to pick. I just love talking to people at Sun Roof and participating in BCs. I guess I was pretty happy when I won a couple medals for being in the top 10 salary earners last summer.
Nicenfun: I have so many fond memories of Whyville, so I don't think I could pick just one. Spending time with all of my friends Greek Theater wearing our colorful Magicbox hats and butterfly necklaces is one memory I will never forget.
Anyonka: My favorite Whyville memory is probably when I met my best Whyville friends. The memory is vague now, so I may have a few details wrong! I didn't really have that many friends on Whyville for several months. I chatted with people and everything, but I didn't click with anyone. Then, one day, I was in the GT (Greek Theater) and some people were making a club that involved wearing some random face part (it may have been a pineapple?). Anyway, I was nervous about trying to get into it because it seemed like everyone knew each other, but I joined in and before I knew it, I had a made a regular group of friends that would keep growing over the next few years.

Crackle11: What is your favorite Whyville game and how long has it been around?

Holiday50: My favorite games on Whyville are the games at the Cafeteria. I liked learning about recycling and storing food.
Kittieme: Easy. THE WISHING WELL! I first started playing it the summer of 2007, and continued playing through 2009. I play it every time it is available at parties in recent years, too.
Shelli223: I think the zero gravity game is pretty fun but it's also very frustrating at times. I still haven't mastered all levels but I'm trying! It's been around as long as I can remember.
Nicenfun: My favorite game here on Whyville would be Letter Squash and Math Expressions! It was introduced to Whyville at Greek Theater in 2006 I believe. Back then, it was packed and everyone would try their hardest to get the most points in an hour.
Anyonka: My favorite Whyville game is probably the Alien Rescue Game. It was one of a handful of games that existed in 2004. I'm not sure how early it started, but it was somewhat old by the time I started. It is a great game because it involves solving really strange clues and using the Warp Wagon to go to places, which was just amazing. I'm somewhat sad that it's a game that's hard to revisit.

Crackle11: Do you like Whyville?

Kittieme: Of course!
Holiday50: Yes, I love it! Whyville is unique and diverse. You can do so many things on Whyville that you can't do on other websites, such as have a salary, shop for clothes, own cars, eat food, travel to different countries and to outer space, and write for a newspaper.
Shelli223: Yes, I'm addicted.
Nicenfun: Oh, yes, I love Whyville! It has been a part of my life for over 9 years now and I met so many great people. Although Whyville has changed dramatically throughout the years in both good and bad ways, I can't seem to let go!
Anyonka: I love Whyville! It got me through some of the most awkward and difficult times of my childhood, and I made some really amazing friends that I still have. I'm 20 years old now and in college, and it's harder to connect with some of the younger Whyvillians and the new changes that keep happening. However, I have so many fond memories that I just love Whyville and keep coming on. It may be targeted for people younger than me, but I can't imagine not being on here for these last nine years.

Crackle11: What do you usually do when you come on Whyville?

Kittieme: Lately, all I do is check my y-mail and see if anyone has commented on my articles/poems. Aside from that, I'll occasionally check the forums or slip into chat. I've been busier lately and haven't had time to do much more than that.
Holiday50: I read articles in the Whyville Times or go to the Help Center.
Shelli223: I'll browse the for sale/wanted section of the BBS and hang out at sun roof. Sometimes I'll do BCs if the prize is high enough and I have time.
Nicenfun: When I come on Whyville, I always check my y-mail right away. I then go to the Whyville Forums (BBS) to see if their are any interesting threads I can post on. The Forums are a great way for Whyvillians to communicate! If I'm on my computer instead of my phone, I will go to South Beach or Sun Roof to chat with others!
Anyonka: Nowadays when I come on Whyville, I usually just read the forums and exchange a few Whymails or manage my CDs. I don't really go into chatrooms because I can never find that many people to chat with. However, I have found the forums to be a lot of fun, even if it's "new" to me. Way back when, I spent almost of my time in the Greek Theater chatting, or answering y-mails, or helping Newbies. At one point, I ran for senator and although I didn't win, it was still a very exciting experience. I don't do many of the things I used to do, but I still manage to have fun.

Crackle11: Do you remember who your first friend on Whyville was? If so, what was their name and how old is their account?

Kittieme: My first friends would be my real life friends who no longer get on. Aside from that, the earliest friends met solely on here (that I remember) would be Cathris and Lollie15, who I met the summer of 07!
Holiday50: No, I don't remember who my first friend was.
Shelli223: Well, my first friends on Whyville would be friends I had in real life, but I think my first Whyville friends were Lea (LEANDRA27 - started 2001) and Nikki (snowchica - started 2001). They were BFFs irl and they would hang out with me and my BFF irl Becca (BluStar). I lost touch with my Whyville friends. They quit and I tried getting into contact with them again to catch up but I had no luck.
Nicenfun: I'm not sure who my first friend here on Whyville was, but the one person who I remember becoming friends with is my friend, Mariah. Her username is anyonka and has been on here just as long as me! She's a terrific person and always has been.
Anyonka: I've had many friends on Whyville, and I made most of them at the same time (as I mentioned earlier). My real life best friend that helped me join Whyville in the first place was Carli (kitlover). She stopped coming on Whyville a long time ago, but she joined in 2004 as well. Besides her, though, one of my first consistent Whyville friends was Sydney (nicenfun). She, too, joined in January of 2004 and we are still friends. There were many others that I was friends with at that time, but I haven't heard from most of them in a long while. From 2005, there is Morgie (morgan612). She's also one of my best friends I've made from Whyville!
