I took this photo at a local conservation area last fall. I love visiting all of the different conservation areas around where I live in each different season because they all provide such different colors and textures to photograph as well as a beautiful landscape, no matter the season. It also gives my dogs a chance to run around and star in some of my pictures, if you look closely you can see my German shepherd running down the trail. Fall is definitely my favorite season to photograph because of all the beautiful vibrant colors and the huge range of colors you can capture in one picture. I love how this photograph also has such a wide range of shadows and highlights. The light is somewhat gradient from extreme bright at the top transitioning to dark shadows at the bottom and I'm a big fan of the effect that gives the photograph.
