Rejuvenating rain, come and wash away my sorrow
All consuming pain, leave, don't come back tomorrow
Darkness washing over, please fade away with morning light
I'll succumb to you right now, but only for the night
How is it that this pain can be so fresh upon my mind?
Why do I have to be a girl, so young, naive, and blind?
My innocence was long ago lost, yet still I do not see
The terrors and tragedies life has in store for me
It's a sad realization, and it needs to be tended to
I know life won't ever be the same, not like when I had you
Tiny sparks of envying flame arise from my soul
How come darkness wins again, and I'm now just part of a whole?
The taste of bitterness on my tongue, something oh too sweet
This is a path of destruction that will sweep me off my feet
