Formed in 1968, Black Sabbath is one of the most influential bands in rock n' roll history, and arguably the best metal band of all time. I mean what was not to love? They had such a unique sound; Ozzy Osbourne's insanely unexampled vocals and perfect instrumentals, they're simply amazing. Sadly, 35 years ago, Ozzy got "the boot" from the band due to heavy drug use. Well, it's 35 years later, and you'll never guess who's back.

That's right. Black Sabbath has recorded a new album. Original members, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and singer Ozzy Osbourne have reunited to create the album, 13, scheduled to come out June 11th 2013. One track titled "God is Dead?" has been released early and I must say, it has the original 70's 'Sabbath vibe'.

After all this time, the band obviously never will sound the same as they did 35 years ago (people get old!), but I must say, they are still kicking butt. Ozzy stated in a recent interview, "I heard the finished thing last week and I've got to be truthful with you, I was so bowled over by the way it sounded. If you liked Black Sabbath in the old days, you got to love 13. It's very heavy. It's very, VERY heavy. I'm my own worst critic. Rather than the pluses I look for the minuses. And I haven't been this excited for an album in a long, long time. I can't remember the last time."

Personally, I couldn't be more ecstatic. Listening to the released track, I can already tell this albums going to be amazing! Be sure to check them out if you haven't!

Peace!
