Old Sherwood is blushing
Her roses are flushing
A story of childhood lovers,
It's sickeningly beautiful.
Restless girl's smile
Careless boy's denial
As they laughed, hope grew
Into a dream so wonderful.
Gorgeous girl twirling
While his head is whirling
With thoughts and images
Of a craving so magical.
The sound of their sighing
She realized he's lying
As she hurt, hope fluttered
Into a dream so unreachable.
Choking and crying
Hopelessly dying
Confused and abused,
Her pain was unspeakable.
Old Sherwood is cracking,
The roses are fading,
A story of long-lost love,
It's sickeningly beautiful.
