For one of my projects in art class, we had to draw and paint a hand doing something or having some special effect. I decided to do the classic "rock hand", since I'm only used to doing simple hands. It was a bit tricky to get the angles and skin details on your palm and fingers right, but it was good practice. Overall, I think it's a pretty good painting, only I think the thumb looks a bit wonky (I'm pretty good at drawing hands but I always have trouble with the thumb) and the two nails aren't symmetrical in shape. I think the bracelets look kind of weird too.

However, for a beginner artist I think it's a good piece and I see many more drawings of hands drawn by me in the near future.

I apologize for the awful lighting in the photo. I really don't like using my scanner since it always comes out looking strange since I used the cheap tempura paint, so I just took a picture of it on my cell phone. Even though it has a decent camera, I still had to edit it to make it brighter, which is why the background looks gray (it's actually lilac) so that's why it's all grainy and discolored. Sorry!
