Don't Abuse the Privilege!

Hey everybody! Again, I am naturally frustrated. Why you ask?

Since the Whyville Safety Tools have been available for our use, they have been abused and commonly misunderstood. If you have no idea what I'm babbling about, check out the Call Box. As you'll notice, the Warn tool has already been taken away. I say that's strike one on us! Fortunately, Silence and Vaporize aren't really giving people problems. It's the 911 Report that seems to be giving everyone trouble.

I was in the Auditorium the other day, and this guy said, "Ok, I'll report dumblonde for calling me dum." I didn't call him dumb, and I hadn't even talked to him. A friend also told me about a time she was on top of someone in the Pool and wouldn't move. So guess what the person said? "I'll report you!"

So, you see people are really abusing a good, useful tool. Don't do this, please! Don't use Reports as an act of revenge! In the end you will be the one getting punished. False or unnecessary Reports will get you in trouble.

Till Next Time....

Note from City Hall: The fact is, you don't need to worry too much about abuse of the 911 report. As you noted, "false or unnecessary reports will get you in trouble". If someone reports you for something silly or stupid, they will be seriously punished, or simply ignored. We've actually banished people for really frivolous 911 reports!

Folks, please don't waste our time or your time with meaningless reports. Read the instructions to the 911's. Otherwise, you may find yourself with duct tape stuck across your face and a disappointed note from me, or worse.
