To be honest, I'm not crazy about fashion. Most clothes I wear are from ASDA's (the British equivalent of Walmart) or charity shops. I'm fine with that, but at school, when we have non-uniform days, I find myself sticking out like a sore thumb.

Many girls in my year are crazy about fashion. They wear brands like Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch. My family isn't exactly super rich and I was brought up to not see fashion as a necessity, but when I see the other girl, I can't stop myself from wanting to wear the things they wear. I'm an awkward shape. Skinny jeans don't fit me, and any other items of clothing seen as fashionable typically don't suit me.

Going on thirteen, I'm at the difficult age when most clothes are too big or too small. Also, I want more clothes to fill up my winter wardrobe. After being embarrassed again at school, I decided to search the web for an outfit which would be warm, comfortable, fairly cheap and what I deem as fashion. For the first outfit, I used expensive brands and designers, and for the second, I used more affordably-priced brands.

Expensive Outfit

Vila, 20 pounds

Ted Baker, 89 pounds

Rag and Bone, 195 pounds

Total = 304 pounds

Cheaper Outfit

H & M, 5 pounds

New Look, 10 pounds

Matalan, 8 pounds

Total = 18 pounds

Et voila, ladies and gentlemen! There you have it! What do you think about this clothing combination? Would you go for the first or the second outfit? My search for winter clothes has come to a close, for now. I think I'll be paying Santa a visit this year . . .
