Red is a fox
Or quite possibly an ox.
Red is a beautiful red velvet cake
When it has had time to bake.
Maybe red is a blistering flame?
So bold and bright, it takes real fame.
Red is a Valentine rose
And even sunburnt toes!
Poppies are a vivid red
So much so they'll stay in your head!
Red is a leafy fern,
Or even a third degree burn.
Red is a tiger's stripes,
Flaming like my father's frustrating gripes!
Red is a stream of blood,
Bursting from a broken hearts forever flood.
Sunlight is a peaceful glowing red,
Which fades before you go to bed.
Red can be a hawk
Flying in the cyan sky within a flock.
Octopi are a warning red,
telling prey if you approach then you're soon dead!
Red is an echidna named Knuckles
Or even a car where you wear buckles.
Red is a loving heart
Or a joyous circus cart!
Red is the color of everlasting love,
The virtue brought on the snowy wings of a dove.
What is red?
A song as sweet as delectable honey in my head.
