You put pretty little words in my head
Words that I couldn't comprehend
"You can trust me", you said,
You wouldn't give one secret away.
But how could I know that these words are the truth?
Do I push back the walls and succumb to you?
The temptation growing stronger by the second,
I can't risk being hurt again.

As I pondered if my choice was right,
A glance in your eyes, they were sincere and bright.
A spur of the moment decision was made,
I reached into my pocket and handed you my blade.
I pulled up my sleeves and showed you the scars.
You said "Let me help fix you", and I said
"Okay".
