The night you got me
In your father's blue pick up
because your's was smashed.

I thought of no lies.
I had no excuses, then.
But that night changed us.

We drove down the road
High above the speed limit,
Without any cares.

But you pushed me out.
You threw me into the road.
Because you were mad.

You yelled and then cried.
You ran in fear, leaving me alone.
You feared for yourself.

I never saw you.
Not once since that fateful day.
Now, it hurts to say,

I miss you.
