Complaining is definitely one of my biggest pet peeves. It's not complaining itself that bugs me, but it's that most people who constantly complain are selfish. They want everything for themselves, and fail to recognize the wonderful things in their lives. Do I live a perfect life? No I don't. But that doesn't mean that I can't enjoy my life and be happy that I am so fortunate to have everything I need. There are just so many things wrong with people who complain too often that I could probably write 100 articles on this and still have more to say.

Anyway, one of the biggest issues with complainers is that they are so busy complaining that they don't have time to actually resolve an issue. I don't let barriers stop me, and want to know why? It's because instead of wasting my time complaining, I take time to actually solve problems. All complaining does is show that you are a whiny little brat who wants everything handed to you. It may not be easy, but if you want to solve an issue you need to break out of your shell, get off of your lazy bum, and help yourself or approach somebody who can help you. Moaning and complaining doesn't get you anywhere, but want to know what does get you somewhere? Motivation. If you motivate yourself to solve a problem, you will actually solve it. Complaining on the other hand gets you no where. All it does is waste your valuable time.

Another thing about complaining that gets me irritated is that the people who complain are the same people who want everything handed to them. I already mentioned this, but now I can go into more detail. One thing that I don't like is laziness. When you want something, go get it. Don't sit there and whine that you're not getting what you want when you aren't even doing anything to help your cause. You can't expect somebody to come over to you and give you what you want, and if you do, you're pathetic. Go after what you want and do all you can to get it. If you fail, it's ok because things don't always go your way. Just as Mick Jagger would say, "You can't always get what you want." When you don't get what you want, don't complain about it. As long as you put some effort into getting what you want, you should feel some sort of pride. Look at things in the positive way, not the negative way, and half of your complaints will go away.

On the flip side of this, it is fine to complain about something that is out of your control. If there is somebody who does no work at your job or in your group at school, go right ahead and suggest a new group or to suggest that a report be filed against the lazy worker. That is okay. At least you are taking an action to resolve the issue.

It may seem hypocritical that I'm writing this as I guess I am complaining about complainers, but this has to be said. People don't realize how annoying they come across as. Anyway, I can ramble on forever about this pet peeve of mine. Fortunately for all of you, I am limited to this article. Moral of the story is to QUIT YOUR COMPLAINING! It is useless and makes you seem selfish and bratty.
