Heartstrings pulled tight tonight,
Exhale slowly.

Don't know what to say to you.
Will it ever be enough?
Maybe it's too much.

Loss cuts like a knife,
But what they don't tell you
Is that there must be a real knife involved
For it to hurt this much.

That second when you're standing at the station,
About to raise your hand in a final wave,
That's the worst of all of them.

Because you remember them standing beside you
Clear as crystal ? minutes ago.

But at the station
You can see down in to the chasm.

It is that moment,
The train station moment.
When the cars slowly begin to move,
Then quickly pick up speed,

That you realize existence will continue -
The train cars will continue -
Without you two people,
Standing side by side.
