"Body confidence doesn't come from, trying to achieve the 'perfect body.' It comes from embracing the one you've already got."

"To all the girls, that think you're fat because you're not a size zero. You are beautiful, it's society who's ugly." Marilyn Manroe

Before I begin this week's article, I want you to take into account these two beautiful quotes. Because they are very, very true. You are beautiful, everyone is beautiful in their own special way. So in this week's article, I'm going to talk about body confidence. This is because it's something that a lot of girls lack. It's also something that I used to lack. I know I can't help everyone, but I hope you guys take this away and listen to me.

The media has already pinpointed, what the 'perfect body' is. However in perfect honesty, there is no such thing as perfection. Everybody has flaws, there's no such thing as a ideal body. Whether you're skinny or overweight, you have to learn to embrace your body. Keep into account, your body will be with you for the rest of your life. Your job is to look after it, treat it well and keep it healthy. If your current body is causing any health problems and you've been advised to loose or gain weight by a doctor, then try to live a healthier lifestyle, and make changes that will benefit you. However, you will not be happy unless you embrace your current body. Before you even think about, making any changes. Learn to love yourself first.

I just like a lot of people have my insecurities. I feel as though my hips are a little big. But slowly and slowly, I'm learning to embrace it. This is because I know complaining and crying over it, won't change anything. Crying over how slim size zero models are, or how curvaceous Beyonce is, won't change anything. This is because I'm slowly accepting, that my body wasn't made to naturally look like that. This is something that you guys need to understand, loving your skin is a step to happiness.

You need to learn to look past your flaws, and work with what you got. Write down all the things you like about yourself, physical or not. You could have gorgeous hair, or eyes or a fantastic sense of humour. Remember your flaws could be something that someone else loves about you.

This article was just a quick reminder, I know it's very short. Please take this away, and think. You are beautiful just the way you are. Love your skin before you try to change anything. I want to finish off with some amazing quotes, to inspire you guys to love your body.

"Embrace and love your body; it's the most amazing thing you'll ever own."

"You have to just accept your body. You may not love it all the way, but you have to be comfortable with it, comfortable in knowing that that's your body." - Rihanna
