When I leave you, |
do not weep bitterly.
pick a memory,
of our happy times together.
Remember when we strolled leisurely
around the quiet campgrounds
hand in hand,
and felt the wind sting our faces.
At times we stood still and watched,
little fishes play in the stream-let
at our feet.
at how the sunshine coaxed the creamy magnolias
and the pink honeysuckle to show their faces.
Ah, the mysteries that got unfolded
before us, and within us, my beloved
But there is much yet,
for you to discover.
So, continue to seek the quiet places,
and perhaps, sometimes,
I will join you.
