On Saturday, November 1st, I attended a Fleetwood Mac concert at the XL Center in Hartford, CT. The concert was definitely the best I've attended. During the 2 hour 45 minute concert, the band played basically every single hit ever written by them.

Fleetwood Mac is a band that was formed in 1967 in England by drummer Mick Fleetwood. Bassist John McVie joined the band shortly after the band's first album was finished. In 1968, McVie married a blues pianist and singer named Christine Perfect (now known as Christine McVie even after the couple's divorce). The band was fairly successful as a blues band in England, but they would not be known worldwide until 1975, when guitarist Lindsey Buckingham was asked to join Fleetwood Mac. Buckingham was the boyfriend of Stevie Nicks, and said that he would not join unless he could bring Nicks with him into the band. After convincing Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, and Christine McVie that Nicks would contribute to the band, she was let in and the current and most well known configuration of the band was born.

The band reached stardom in 1977 after the release of the album "Rumours." The album has since sold over 40 million copies, which makes it the 6th best selling album of all time. In addition to Rumours, some of Fleetwood Mac's well received albums include the self titled album "Fleetwood Mac" from 1975, "Tusk" from 1979, "Mirage" from 1982, "Tango in the Night" from 1987, and a few others that were released between 1990 and 2003.

In 1997, Christine McVie left Fleetwood Mac after she developed a fear of flying. In 2013, McVie decided to call Stevie Nicks to see if she would be allowed back in the band again. Stevie replied saying, "It's your band. If you want to come back, then come back." These events lead up to a 2014 tour titled the "On With the Show Tour." I was lucky enough to attend one of the shows. Here are a few pics from the show. They are pretty blurry, but I still want to share them.
