Writer's block is really quite a pain.
My paper's adorned with eraser stains.
My heart's going to burst as I search for the words--
I can't write like this. My thoughts are all blurred.
I twist and I turn and I fight my own mind,
But I can't seem to write between those blue lines.
I'm fighting the strong urge to procrastinate,
And there's no way I'll turn in the paper late.
My fingers are aching and so is my brain,
From giving up now, I will have to refrain.
Five pencils have snapped and I'm fresh out of lead;
Maybe I'll just stick to fanfiction instead.

Author's Note: This was a poem I wrote last year in school for a project we did over poetry. I couldn't think of what to write, so I just wrote about my lack of ideas.
