Thanksgiving is a national holiday primarily celebrated in the United States and Canada as a way of giving thanks for the harvest that is received. For more information about this holiday, you can do a Google search for "Thanksgiving" and you will get a lot more information.

It is a fun holiday for most people because they get to eat with their families. Today, I did a short interview about it. I interviewed bunbuns01, natnat10, DahCutie, RinAndLen and MintClean. I asked them a few questions about their Thanksgiving, what they did, and here are their answers!

9cookies: Do you celebrate Thanksgiving?

DahCutie: Yes, I do celebrate Thanksgiving.
Natnat10: Yup, I'm 'Murican.
RinAndLen: Yes, I do.
MintClean: Yes, my family invites many people from around the country to enjoy Thanksgiving together.

9cookies: What Thanksgiving do you celebrate? Canadian, American, etc.?

DahCutie: American
Natnat10: American
RinAndLen: I celebrate American Thanksgiving.
MintClean: I celebrate the American thanksgiving.

9cookies: Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?

DahCutie: I don't have any Thanksgiving traditions.
Natnat10: On Thanksgiving I typically go to my dad's side of the family to my mom's, and stuff my face twice as much as everyone else.
RinAndLen: Well, we don't really have any "traditions" for Thanksgiving, as it's not a huge holiday for us. We usually just have my grandma over and we eat together.
MintClean: We cook a big turkey, and then the guests bring in side dishes. We all try to sit at the same table at once (it's jam-packed though!!)

9cookies: What Thanksgiving food is your favorite? What about desserts?

DahCutie: My favorite food to eat on Thanksgiving is mashed potatoes, and my favorite dessert is chocolate cheesecake.
Natnat10: I love my grandma's mashed potatoes. I only enjoy hers and not eating them wouldn't make Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving. I also love turkey and gravy. Pumpkin pie is my favorite dessert. I have it a few times throughout the year but it doesn't feel right if I don't eat it on Thanksgiving.
RinAndLen: We eat pozole and sometimes tamales. We don't eat an actual turkey and ham like some others. For dessert we have apple pie and cheesecake.
MintClean: My favorite food would have to be the green bean casserole. It tastes really unique and it's one type of food I'll actually eat that has green beans in it! I make a dessert consisting of baked pears. We slice pears in half, put them in a dish to cook them in an oven, and then sprinkle cinnamon, sugar, and a little butter goes on top. We bake them for about 10 minutes and it comes out ammmmaaazzing.

As for me, I celebrate American Thanksgiving. My family doesn't have many traditions. Sometimes we have a few family members over usually, not many, but sometimes it's just us four. We don't eat like a traditional family with turkey and stuff. My mom usually only makes something small, like a pot of homemade sauce with meatballs and sausages and either lasagna or baked ziti. These are my favorite Thanksgiving foods. We usually get like an apple pie, which is my favorite dessert.
