Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore,
We are neck deep in denial
shouting from our lungs,
We are starving head cases.
We are two am phone calls to our mother
saying, Mom, I messed up.
We are lying on a rooftop somewhere
crying about someone who never actually loved us.
On that rooftop are weapons of mass destruction,
but our thoughts do more damage than they ever will.
We are lost in our own heads,
seeing distant stars in front of our faces.
Suddenly shooting for the moon doesn't seem so hard.
Truly, we are chin up, head strong,
why did it ever take so long to find our demons?
We are too many lightyears away
from good night sleeps
and sweet dreams, honey.
We are stuck between rhyme and reason,
poor kids with nothing but money.
Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore.
We woke up crying on the floor
with a notebook and a pen beside us.
