Birchbox is a website where you can purchase monthly beauty and grooming subscription boxes for as low as $10 a month. Reviewing the samples you receive earns you Birchbox points that you can use to spend on products in the online store. If you haven't already, check out my article (ID 14879) "Birchbox vs. Ipsy" to learn more about Birchbox.

After purchasing six monthly Birchboxes and reviewing 30 products, I'd racked up $30 in points, and I decided it was time to go shopping.

The first product I bought is Amika Nourishing hair Mask. I had previously sampled this in one of my Birchboxes and ended up loving it. The full sizes come in 60 and 250 milliliters, which cost $10 and $28.

This product boasts being "packed with sea buckthorn berry, which is chock-full of omegas, vitamins, and jojoba oil". It's all natural and free of parabens and harsh chemicals that damage hair

This weekly hair mask is thick and rich, it feels luxurious to use. It made my hair so soft and smooth, and the slightly fruity smell is divine! Think of it as conditioner on steroids. It tamed my long, thick, frizzy hair which is no small feat!

I'd also like to add that it's easy to rinse out and does not leave any residue, just shiny, soft strands. I will definitely be able to get a lot of uses out of this container.

When you use your rewards points, you can only use increments of 100. For example, if a product cost you $15 it will take away 200 points, instead of 150.

Now since the mask cost me $28, and I still had $2 in points that would just go to waste, I checked the low price range of products in the Birchbox shop to find something to spend the rest of my points on.

Next I chose LA Fresh Travel Lite makeup remover wipes. These were $1.99 for three individually packaged wipes. I had sampled the waterproof makeup remover version of this, and loved the single use package and the light, fresh scent.

These are so convenient to keep in my purse when I'm traveling or staying over a friend's house, or on my nightstand when I'm tired but don't want to sleep in my makeup.

One wipe takes all my makeup off with very little elbow grease, and don't leave my skin looking or feeling oily.

The best part? Free shipping! That's right I got $30 worth of products for free, no shipping, no taxes, free! I always say, if it's free it's for me.

I would say "purchasing" these products was a big win! I'm very happy with the quality of both.
