Newbie Welcome

Dear Whyvillians,

I am a newbie here, named COSTIDGE because my friend and I are in this together, and it's a merger of our names. Anyway, I'd like to mention something to all of you. It's kind of weird that your first time into Whyville, there's no "Welcome to Whyville," or "Who are you?" or at least a simple "Hello!" I was kinda disappointed, so I was thinking, maybe people could talk to the newbies too.

I know they don't have a face, face parts, and are kinda ugly, but that's how you were when you first came! So next time, say Hello to a newbie, and make them feel better about Whyville. (Don't mind the fact that they can't talk for 5 days, they'll still get your message!)

This is Sonner with another article about something that was kind of weird.

Vampires! Lots of them, at the Sportplatz. People are turning into vampires! So I advise you, next time you go to the Platz, be sure to have a cross with you or garlic or a stake to keep them away. I tried to turn them into dust, but more and more keep coming. LoL. If only Buffy were here. LoL!

I already got bit in the arm but thank goodness it wasn't my neck. LoL. So I'm hurrying to Akbar's to buy a cross or some garlic just to stay safe. Lots of people are already vamps!

Vampires like to chase after people. Stay in your homes! A vampire cannot come in unless you invite them in, so you are safe! When I log onto Whyville (I'm currently in the Waiting Room), I'm going straight to my house. LoL. Be sure to have holy water too. Oooh, if only Buffy was here. LoL!!!

"Help the newbies!" contest.

Hi, this is... well, I'm not going to say who this is. Anyway, I am going to put on a contest called "Help the Newbies". I'm going to dress up like a newbie. The first Whyvillian to be nice or try to help me will win 60 clams! And they will find out that this is a contest. However, I'm hoping they will use this money to help another newbie.

So, finally you can be rewarded for being a nice person!!

Hi it's me, alienman, writing another article for the Times.

Today I am here to talk about POLL results... yep, that's what I said, poll results.

Now, City Hall says that any poll results that get more than 125 votes get looked at by them, BUT I've never seen any POLL result actually take action (City Hall recognizing this petition and actually performing what it said to do).

For example, if I had a petition that got over 125 votes about more games... would you City Hall try to make more games?

Hey this is dancemssd here, and I wanted to talk about the new Whyville Lounge! I'm sure everyone agrees with me that it's great, but it's missing one thing that everyone wanted it to have. I'm talking about our mailboxes.

A lot of times I just go on to Whyville to check my mail, but it's ALWAYS SO BUSY! Even before the Whyville Lounge was added to Whyville, everyone's articles in the Times were about how much it stinks having to wait to get into Whyville. All many of us were asking for were our mailboxes to be a feature in the waiting room. Now we have a lounge, but still no mailboxes.

To get to my point, I am just asking if you could possibly put a place in the lounge that has all of our mailboxes.

Thanks and yours truly,
DANCEMSSD
