Eating plants is murder, too!

If you were a vegetarian, like I am, you think it is wrong to eat something that was once alive, right? Well, say you give up meat and dairy products and you only eat fruits and vegetables, and meat alternatives right? Well, you would be eating something that was once alive! Fruits and vegetables have to grow, and they grow when they are alive! I don't think you want to die from food loss, so it would be wrong. I don't exactly know what I am trying to prove, but, oh well! You can't have everything in life.

This is magickal, trying to prove a point... over and out.

Oh my gosh, I just have to give it to you and make a complete continuation of last week's section on cruelty to animals! Animals have always been something I feel majorly strong about! I just love them. A teacher at my school and I are working together to make a no-kill animal shelter and I feel like we are really getting something accomplished.

I really love animals and I just think it's fabulous that Whyville can take part working for such a worthy cause, I really do! I thought you were already amazing... look at you now!! This really blows me away! I'm seriously loving you right now, Whyville! Thanks for being amazing. I'm really sooo thrilled with this; I'm so involved with animals and I love that you guys are taking part in it, too! I LOVE YOU WHYVILLE, YOU'RE TRULY AMAZING!!

Just a quick comment on Merchant's article "Saving the Animals": a humane way of eating "meat" without harming the animals is, go to McDonald's(tm)! The hamburgers there are totally fake! Ever wonder why the burgers go "phhhssst" when you bite into them? They're filled with air! My friend says he knows the guy that inflates them! So, when you're craving meat but don't want to harm animals, go to Mickey D's! :D! (Mind you, you'll probably get sick....)

Why do they kill? They are living creatures, too!

This is babyblu56 here to discuss a topic that I feel as strongly about as the people recently published in the Times on the same subject. In swacke1's article, she said scientists find roadkill or dead animals and dissect them. She said, "would you want someone poking around in your body when you're dead?" I would definitely not! However, I agree with the dissection. They only dissect the animal so they can find out the cause of their death or more about how they eat and how they adapt to their surroundings. I agree with it because then they can preserve certain areas or create something to save animals in the future to stop them from death of the same cause. All this because of the research they found by dissection!!

Also, some people are really really self-centered! They hunt for sport or torture animals and make them do something painful to get THEM money! Animals share this earth with us. Without animals, it would be hard to survive! Think about it!

I'm writing this as a response to Merchant's article, "Saving the Animals". I want to say that she has no right to criticize anyone who is not a vegetarian, because I'm a Christian and I know that God gave us animals to eat if we needed them. So I do not agree that we should work harder to save animals, because some people like myself believe that nothing is wrong with eating animals.

Now in your science class, you did not HAVE to watch the video, you could have closed your eyes and gone to sleep or anything. You could've complained, and I can almost GUARANTEE you that you wouldn't have to watch it.

I do not think that as humans we should try to save animals, in my opinion we should spend our time focusing on saving PEOPLE, saving homeless, helpless people in other countries, and even in our own countries. I think that we should focus on the group that really matters: THE PEOPLE.

Well, Merchant, I would love to hear your response to this, so please write soon. Thanks so much.
