Some nights I feel like flying
but I'm stuck on the ground fighting
for a reason to stay alive
I can't find a light on
in this sleepy town
Everyone is slowly dying
and I'm trying to motivate my fate
putting my thoughts after my actions
just in case someone sees my contemplation
Don't let me die here
not where this poetry started
Where I tore my own heart to pieces
leaving nothing but scattered remains
of meaning
I'm so tired of seeing
skeletons in my closet
and a closed casket burned into my eyelids
There is nothing left for me here
every plea I shout falls on deaf ears
Don't let me die
in destination nowhere
that swallows life like a black hole
