My Side of the Story

Kittikatz
Guest Writer

Hi, Kittikatz here. I have seen so many articles about how wrong it is to eat meat. Well, here's an opinion from someone whose fave food is beef tacos. :)

Feel your canine teeth. You feel them? They're sharp, aren't they? Your back teeth are flat? Well, that's because we're omnivores. That means we eat plants AND meat. Getting your protein from pills or tofu, you will probably die earlier. I don't have proof of that, but it makes sense to me.

People always say hunting is cruel. My Dad hunts birds, ok? And he never wastes the birds he shoots, he always eats them, except for a few weeks ago when he forgot one in his bag and it stunk up the whole house. :)

Insects are animals. So if you want to give up slapping mosquitoes for the rest of your life...

PLANTS ARE ALIVE!!! I think that plants can think without brains, somehow. And they give us oxygen. Killing plants just so some idiot can boycott meat would be killing oxygen. Sorry about saying "idiot". I promised myself not to say anything bad about grass-eaters *coughcough* vegetarians.

Animals eat other animals. Humans are animals. Think about it. The lion, a favorite animal of many, eats meat, but nothing eats the lion, because it's on the top of the food chain. We are on the top of OUR food chain. Now, if there was an animal that ate people, we probably wouldn't think that people hunting animals was so cruel. We'd think animals hunting people was cruel!

Thanks for reading my side of the story. Please, all these things about how only evil people eat meat are making people feel bad.

This is Kittikatz, proud to be an omnivore, signing off.

Editor's Note: I encourage you to do some research on tofu, protein pills, etc, before you decide that they'll hurt your health! Ask your doctor, ask some scientists -- do you think there's a way you can test these things *yourself* and discover how healthy they are or aren't? And then of course there's the classic taste test that must be done!
