A pen and a paper
Were all she had left.
Her hand was trembling,
Mind was empty,
But heart kept beating
Fast and faster,
As she'd remember,
The words were appearing
On their own.
A green eyed devil,
No, that was not it,
Her demons were chasing.
A teardrop fell
And messed up the words
Her hands were still shaking
As she was writing
Her failures down.
She tried to scream so loud,
Louder than her beating heart.
She just wanted to tell,
That she still was not dead.
A pen and a paper
Were all I had left,
You laughed at her mistakes,
While she smiled
Cause she won the day.
