he paints my reveries upon canvas:
there i wander beside the sleepy creek
where the stars make their home and their dances

the trees greet me; the wind howls her hello
winsome Selene casts her cold luster,
a haughty gaze from celestial plateau
i smile; reunion of old friends, bestirred

ere could i murmur been swells or farewells
the end beckoned me to rest
tiredness set in my bones, in time no longer i dwell
obsidian crept while twilight creeps; i did not protest

behold, the welcome threshold of heaven
i enter, final child of seven
