This year has been great so far for out of this world flicks. But have you ever walked out of a theatre after a really great movie and wondered, "Will the story continue in a second movie"? Well, I'm here to help you, you can look forward to 2003, because here comes the attack of the sequels!

The mutants from Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters are back on May 2nd, 2003, in X-Men 2. Not much is known of the plot, but it seems all the original cast have signed on and there should be a lot of new mutants. It promises to be as action packed as the last and I'll be one of the first in line, for sure!

If you're a fan of X-Men, you might be interested in The Hulk. One of their screenwriters also did X-Men and now X-Men 2, and the director is Ang Lee, who also directed Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It should be released June 20th, 2003. Oh, and a note on the change of name: it will be called just The Hulk instead of the original name, The Incredible Hulk. It seems all the old comics are coming back on the silver screen!

It looks like Charlie's Angels have decided to drop in again and kick butt with their next movie: Charlie's Angels 2: Halo. Nothing is known about the plot, but there is a rumour that it will involve a stolen database of the witness protection program. They should be hitting the theatres on June 27th, 2003.

The gang from Hogwart's will be also back again with the series' third movie, Harry Potter and The Prisoner Of Azkaban. Its release date is still TBA, but Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets, the second one, will be out THIS year. In this movie (The Prisoner Of Azkaban), Harry is "supposedly" being hunted by an escaped mass murderer, but it turns out he's really... well, I won't ruin the surprise for those rare few who haven't already read the books!

Speaking of wizards, more magic's brewing with The Lord of The Rings' finale, The Return Of The King. Will the One Ring finally be destroyed, or will Sauron rule again? Can the people of Middle-Earth hold out against Sauron's vast armies? We'll have to wait till December 17th, 2003, to find out!

Like Arnold said, he IS back... again! The third movie is called Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines. It will be directed by Jonathan Mostow and again, the plot isn't clear but more information will become available as the opening draws closer which should be on July 2nd, 2003.

And finally Angelina Jolie is making a comeback in Lara Croft And The Cradle Of Life: Tomb Raider2. Supposedly, the plot is that Lara journeys to a temple sunken underwater, that leads to a sphere containing Pandora's Box. But it is stolen from her by a Chinese crime syndicate who plan to use it as a doomsday device. The release date is also TBA.

Those seven films look awesome and I can't wait till the theatres' 2003 line-up of flicks! For more info on any specific movie, visit www.upcomingmovies.com. Remember to buy your tickets!

(*TBA=To Be Announced)
