The pool seems to boil, oh what can I do?
All of the bugs have turned into green, sticky goo

My body is soaking, all covered in sweat
And it is not even 9:00 yet!

The fans are all broken, they're 90 years old
What I would do to be a tiny bit cold

I should move to Alaska, I hear it's quite nice
If you prefer to be living in ice

My eyesight's gone blurry, I can't see a thing
Is it just me or did Rex grow a wing?

The temperature has gone up to 40 degrees
Please make it stop, oh pretty please!

The day's almost over, it's just about 10
I hope I don't suffer through all this again

My room is so stuffy, I can't get to sleep
This hot summer weather surely will keep

I close my green eyes and hope for a dream
Maybe the winter, or a cool stream

Even though it's so hot, I'm having a ball
I can not wait for winter and fall
