Where Did This Hate Come From?

'Ello, this is Prissie33 here!! I am writing this letter with my thoughts on BabyPowdr's article. I was reading it a few minutes ago and I was just in shock that a kid could write such a powerful article. But I feel almost the same way as she does... I don't believe in war... well, I do, but I don't like it.

People seem to think that you need to fight violence with violence, but you can't!! Nothing gets solved this way... well, yeah, in the long run it does, because someone gives up (in most cases, right?), but that is only after millions of helpless people have died. It is just an ugly circle where no one wins!!

Yes the war probably started because someone killed someone, but are you any better if you go out and kill them back!? No, you're not, it may make you feel better, but you are still no better.

Yes, people like Osama should have to pay for what he did, but are you no better if you go out and then kill him? No!! This is the whole problem here, maybe -- when really bad things like the Sept. 11 attack happen, people should talk before going out and killing each other, because killing is just so wrong. You could be killing someone's father or son. Think about how you would feel if someone killed your brother... better, bad, ah!?

I know that world peace is impossible, but it wouldn't hurt for us all to try to stop the fighting, the racism, and all the other things that bring war to be. If we all just tried a little harder then we could all be little happier. It makes me so sad sometimes when I am watching the news and I see what our world is coming to... starving children, war, a father killing his family. Where did all this hate come from!?

As a kid, I think about these things a lot more than adults do. I want to make a difference, but as a kid there is not much I can do. But I try every day. I am a little nicer to one person, try not to be mean to the girl with no friends. But it is hard, isn't it!?

I think that is one of the problems here in our world. No one wants to take a stand. No country wants to say it because they might look scared or weak. They would rather keep their pride than try to fix their problems. *sigh* Well, I guess that's the way it has to be.

Well, it is getting late and I am tired, so I guess that is all I have to say!

Tootlez,
Peace and love,
Prissie33
