The Magic Pill?

Minerals, nutrition. Do they balance out together? I was wondering this myself, so I started looking out to different sites. I was wondering if in fact, a pill can give you everything that you need to be healthy.

While on a site, I stumbled across www.seasilverhealth.com/deficiencies.html. Now this site promotes a product that they are saying is better than all other pills. I don't know about that. But I was very interested in this particular page. It shows different things that can happen in your body and why they may be happening because of the minerals you are lacking. Go read the page yourself, so that you can fully understand, but here is a bit to sum it up. Did you know that lacking Zinc and Sulfur can lead to Acne? Or that lacking Maganese, Zinc, and Potassium leads to Asthma? While lacking Selenium and Germanium leads to Cancer. For a full list of diseases and such and the minerals you are probably lacking, click above. Editor's Note: Given that this site talks about auras and "multifrequency wavelength responses" from taking pills, I'm not too certain whether this deficiencies page is accurate. It looks pretty good, though, and at least provides some food for thought. Who's going to research the stuff they have there?

And according to the main site, none of us are as healthy as we should be. In fact, the "good stuff" in our immune systems has been dropping approximately 3-4% per year. In 1997, it had dropped 29% since 1981! That's a lot! And approximately 95% of Americans die as a "victim" of heart/circulatory disease. This includes cancer, heart problems, diabetes, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, Hepatitis C, liver infection, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted diseases. The list can go further, but those are the main ones.

But how can we prevent these things from happening to us at such an early age? The answer is in our lifestyles. If we try to eat better and exercise, then we can do a lot more things with ourselves. Getting 8-10 hours of sleep can leave us energized. And eating out of the 4 main food groups (fruits and veggies, meat and alternatives, breads and cereals, and milk and dairy) will make our bodies stronger. Also important is drinking enough water (8 glasses a day). Drinking water flushes out intestines, and keeps our hair and skin looking nice. Eating things like rhubarb or ketchup helps our hearts. And fiber is good for the heart as well. Just changing our diets to help us is as good as anything. But what about those that need more than that? What about vitamin pills?

For a small advertising thing from this site, I found a bit that said that only about 10-20% of the vitamins you take are actually absorbed by your body. However, I could not find anything else on the matter. Sorry about that.

In any case, there are many different types of vitamins around that you can get for different things. I myself take multi-vitamins. But you can get others. Although they claim to be reliable, I would not count on only them for your requirements. So still eat healthy.

Well, that's enough for now. Eat well and get enough rest. Tune in some time soon for some more on health matters.
