I gotta go pack for camp right now (well actually I am *packing* right now, it's just my mom had to run out for a minute, so I'm taking a short break.) Anyway, I wanted to type up a quick article on racism in Whyville, but I have discovered that moods has stolen my point, which was that there was only one black City Worker. (I guess I won't be interviewing her anymore!) (And don't worry folks, I'll get even with her... he he he.)

Anyway, I can remember being in third grade and my teacher trying to explain what these stickers were for. There were hands that said, "Stop racism". Of course, half the people in our class didn't understand what being racist meant. And, I'll tell that teacher must of said something right, because that speech always stuck with me.

"There are some people out there that have crazy ideas in their heads. They have old fashion thoughts that just because their skin is one color, they are better then everyone else. But they aren't." (Except that I got this speech in French.)

Making more black face parts in Whyville is just a start. We need parts for Asian people. (Their skin isn't exactly white, but isn't black, that's for sure.) As the population of white people goes up in Whyville, how many black people do we see?

I can remember when superid came to Regina and was introducing Whyville to this group of adults. I went into the Playground and the lady behind me says, "They're all white." Now, there was, what, twenty five people in the Playground at that time? And not a single one was black. And superid's reply was, "They do have the choice of color, but most choose to be white."

A thanks at this time goes out to Banshee, who designs lots of clothes for black people. And even bigger thank you goes out to wench, whose store offers heads and clothes for many different races. One more thanks goes out to Bigfoot, who is the only black City Workers. (Right, moods?)

Anyway, my mom has just opened the garage door, so I'm outta here!
