Staying Safe

Hello people, Elsha here.

Tonight was Halloween, and I was out trick-or-treating with 5 of my friends. We were walking down the street when we saw some adult-ish people, 19-23 year olds. They started harassing us about getting our candy, so I told my friends to keep walking and ignore them.

Then they followed us... IN THEIR CARS! We got really creeped out, so we turned into an alley where my friend suggested we hide behind this truck. We did as the cars circled the alleyway. We had to get out somehow, so we jumped the fence into someone's backyard. We told the whole story to the people who lived there and we called our parents and got a ride home.

This teaches you something VITAL. When you are trick or treating, NEVER go out alone. You need to a group to think fast, and if you don't get that far, to help you out. You also want to be seen and noticed by others, so that people can see if you are in trouble or not! We lucked out having a truck to hide behind. If it happens to you, you may not be so lucky!

So please, BE CAREFUL!!

Signing off,
Elsha
