Is Fast Food Really All Fat?

Hey, meg959 here. I bet you're wondering about all that fattening food you just seen on television, like McDonald's, for example. When you see it on television, the fries are all lined up nicely, the burgers stacked exactly, and the wrappers are wrapped perfectly! But when you finally can't stop yourself and you go out and buy a Big Mac, you can see that it's not stacked exactly, and the fries are sort of falling out of the box, and also the wrapper isn't the neatest. They just make it perfect on television so it looks good, to fool every one of you to go out and buy it!

Now that I'm on to fast food, I just have to say this! Fast food isn't *all* bad for you! Your body needs fat to keep it running. The only time fast food is bad for you is if you eat it very often, but once or twice a month isn't bad, I think.

As you see, a lot of fast food restaurants are now selling lower fat content products. Like the Lighter Choices Menu at McDonald's, with a Veggie Burger, Chicken McGrill, four new salads, and also a Fruit'n Yogurt Parfait. The Veggie Burger has only 8.2 grams of fat, and the Chicken McGrill has only 5.5 grams of fat, the Fruit'n Yogurt Parfait has only 2.2 grams of fat. The listed foods are better than a Big Mac and large fries, but still, there is some fat content.

Subway is a great way to get your meal really quick, with not as much fat and calories as fries and a burger. But Subway can still have a lot of fat, depending on what sandwich you choose. The fat in Subway's Classic Sandwiches range from 13 to 27 grams, with calories ranging from 388 to 537 calories in a one-foot sandwich. The Select Sandwiches have 4.7 to 21 grams of fat, with 314 to 461 calories. The 7 Under 6 Sandwiches have 1 to 2 grams of fat, also with 226 to 317 calories. My favorite is the Deli Sandwich, it has about 3.5 to 17 grams of fat, with 209 to 340 calories. And last is the Breakfast Sandwich, with fat content ranging from 8.2 to 12 grams, and 265 to 287 calories.

As you see, a Subway sub has a really good choice of sandwiches; so many that I couldn't name them all! But some of their stuff has more fat than you would expect from a sandwich.

I hope you saw that fast food can be bad some times, and sometimes not too bad! Remember not to eat it too often; sometimes is okay, though. Oh, I gotta go, Subway is waiting for me!
