SPAM: the all-American meat. Ever wonder how SPAM(tm) got its name? What's in it? What does SPAM stand for? I, the all-knowing SPAM... ummm.. person have all the answers!

Not many foods are as versatile as SPAM luncheon meat. Ever heard of the SPAM-burger? SPAM salad? No? Try it sometime! There is no end to all the fun ways you can enjoy SPAM!

I'm not too sure about the nutritional value, but I'm sure it's tasty. Did you know that SPAM can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch AND dinner? Another reason why SPAM is the most versatile food in the history of this great nation! And in the history of many other great nations, may I add. Hehehe. But wait! There's more!

Let's go back to 1937 in Austin, Minnesota. Yeah, not much there. Just a dusty old town, and the only tourists you'd see there would be the tumbleweeds blown in from wherever tumbleweeds come from. This is where the ambitious company known as Hormel came from and got its roots. These good people are about to hit upon an ingenious miracle called SPAM. A slab of good ol' spicy ham smushed into an aluminum 12 ounce can. Sounds good, huh?

In its very first year, SPAM stole 18% of the market. That's a whole lot of that much-desired greenishpink stuff! And now, sixty years later, SPAM is still going! It's sold an amazing 5 BILLION cans.

That's it for part one, but stick around, part two is coming soon!

This is Cloudy83, going to Food Lion to go buy some SPAM for breakfast...
