Whyville people, I write to you from my home.

Almost each week, my whole class has to study a current event. This is where you bring in an article from the paper and give your opinion about it.

This week, one boy said that if murder is committed, then the murderer should be killed. We got into a big discussion on this, then reached the point that, "what if the person who was about to be killed wasn't the murderer?" This has happened before. Imagine how you would feel. A loved one about to be killed and yet they didn't do the crime they were accused of!! I would go insane.

What is your opinion? Do you think that no matter what, they should be killed and if it is the wrong person, kill them anyway? Or do you think that if you kill someone, you should be put in jail for life, not a 10 year sentence, life. Truly as long as you live. Without cable. Or is there another solution? Well, I think they should have the life sentence, personally. That is just me, though.
