Hey, this is PinkGal23. I just noticed a new (or maybe not so new... I just know I haven't ever seen it before) wedding box icon thingy that comes right before the name of an article. It was a Wedding Ring and attached to it was a ball and chain.

This got me thinking. What was going through the person's mind when they made the icon, and what does it mean? I decided to go ahead and ponder (hehe, ponder... such a big word ;-) ) what the different meanings of this could have been:

Maybe the wedding ring has the ball and chain attached to symbolize everything that comes attached to the ring as you put it on (either in Whyville or in real life). And the b&c (ball and chain) represents all of the responsibility that comes with marriage.

Another meaning might be that wearing a wedding ring is almost like a ball and chain because you are almost giving yourself a handicap. You aren't able to go out with anyone but your spouse and you can't allow yourself to fall for anyone else.

One more meaning (kind of far fetched) is, you really shouldn't get married on Whyville because you never know who you might be "marrying". It could be someone who either was in or should be in jail. Hey, you never know!

Well, that was my analysis. I would love to hear from you! Please y-mail me your views/ideas!
