Happy 4th Birthday, Whyville!

March 4, 2003 marked Whyville's fourth birthday, and to memorialize this special occasion, citizens were given special medals based upon their length of time as Whyville citizens. We were thanked for our contributions and for making Whyville such a success.

It may be true that we citizens have made Whyville a success, but it's really the founders, workers, and othr people behind the site that truly make it come together. And for that, on behalf of citizens on Whyville ???- young or old, new or experienced -??? I would like to acknowledge you and express how appreciative we are for your efforts.

Thank you for your patience, especially when you are bombarded with mail, complaints, or questions. Thank you for always looking out for the best in us, and for our futures. We are most grateful for the time and energy you put into us and deep down wonder what we would do without each of you.

Thank you for the Times ???- one of the things that connects us all. Thank you for allowing us to express our thoughts, opinions, artwork, and poems in the weekly paper and take time to respond to some of the articles that you read.

Thank you for the Face Mall, the educational games, and for the numerous parties and celebrations throughout the years. Your dedication is unbelievable, and we understand the hardships you have gone through and respect you for your ambition, good heartedness, and love for what you do.

Thank you for your faith in all of us. For trying to make Whyville an unforgettable experience for each and every one of us. Not only have you taught us about concrete facts through Science and History -??? but also through your actions and words, you have uplifted us and showed us what true devotion is all about. This is something that no textbook can do, or hours of studying and researching can fulfill.

Essentially, I am trying to thank you. Thank you, Grandma, for your charitable efforts, the City Workers for all of your support and determination, the Editor and MediaWiz, to Tiki, Bea, Slim and the others who greet us faithfully each day. Thank you to Superid ???- the founder -- and to City Hall, who is the foundation of this whole ingenious website. Thank you, all of you! Your efforts will never be forgotten.

Four years have passed and Whyville has changed in so many ways. Here is to many more birthdays to come filled with hope, wonder, and aspiration. From every citizen, we would like to say...

Happy 4th Birthday, Whyville!

And many more to come...!

If You're Not the One,

-TIKE
