Whyville's Creation

About June 17, 1997, City Hall was given a plot of land, approximately the size of a small town. A few days later she read an article in the globe and mail about how kids have no place to chat, have fun, meet new people and relax. So then she came up with her idea. Whyville!!!!!

So she went to her new boyfriend, Bob, her sister, who now works at the Tiki Hut, her mother, Doctor Leila, and her cousin, Akbar, and created a bunch of buildings: the Spin Lab, the Tiki Hut, the Sun Spot, the House of Illusions, and the Haunted House.

But then she realized that kids who came to Whyville had no way of expressing themselves creatively, finding out what's going on or not knowing that some people might not like inappropiate language. So then Akbar said that they should be able to create faces, Bob said that there should be a paper called the Whyville Times and Dr. Leila said there should be chat filtering for inappropriate speaking. Those ideas were put into action.

Now today we have a wonderful community where kids can chat, have fun, meet new people and relax. All I can say now is great job City Hall, you make us proud to be Whyvillians.
