I'm going to tell you straight off the top what this article is about. The point of it: Most Media Hurts. Not physically, but mentally. People ask themselves when they read magazines or watch the fashion channel: How do they get so perfect sized? How come I wasn't born that skinny? How come I was born too skinny? How do they get that perfectly smooth skin? Things like that. A lot of How Comes. Well, I'm here to answer those questions.

First of all, you were born you, and you can't fight with that. And I'm tellin' ya, nobody is born perfect! Some people may be 'prettier' than others, but mostly it's just their haircut or their new outfit. Or maybe they wear make-up which makes them look so much prettier than everybody else. Then how do they show up in magazines and fashion shows so perfect? Simple. Technology.

The computers and computer programs these days can do almost anything. And that is basically the answer. They can erase the fat off their arms if they look too chubby in the picture, or they can blend in their pimples so it looks like they have perfectly smooth skin. They can highlight or darken it in certain places so that it looks like they have a nice, even coloured skin rather than t-shirt tan lines. I bet if you walked up to that person in the picture in real life and saw them with you're bare eyes, they would look a lot different than in the picture.

How do I know this? Well, my teacher told us in Health class when we were learning about being healthy and looking fit. And besides, when you think about it, it all makes sense. You could get your own computer program to modify your pictures to making them look perfect. They have them for cartoon dolls, where you highlight it in certain spots to make it look perfect and make the drawer look really talented.

Again, I bring up my point in this article. Media hurts. But don't let that get to you anymore since now you know the truth. Or is it the truth? Need more proof? I'm sure you could go to a website and find out everything and more about media pictures. Don't let the perfect media picture get to you.

Nobody's perfect, no matter how much make-up they wear, no matter what store they shop at, no matter how many times they washed their face, no matter how many times they dyed their hair, no matter... well, you get my point.

Thanks for reading.
