Hi, this is Jersie replying to an article in the Times. The article was called The Dark Side of Whyville.

Ok, now to clear this up. Sure, Whyville isn't perfect -- we have hackers, bullies, con artists, and just plain meanies! But so do OTHER websites. Everywhere you go there will be those kinda people. In fact, I think it's better on Whyville. I mean, what kinda place in "real life" is so perfect like this? And if you ask me, Whyville was never so perfect. We always had those kinda people, just not as many in the past.

I'm not arguing with the article. I totally agree that Whyville has had some rough moments, and our share of hackers and what not. But, no offense to Rosepedal, I personally think that calling Whyville "too much drama" and "it's own soap opera" is a little harsh. We have FUN on Whyville. That is what Whyville is about! Whyville is about having fun, meeting new people, meeting old friends, talking to new friends, and having a little responsibilities. And more... I hate hackers as much as the next girl or guy, but so what if Whyville isn't PERFECT! If you have fun, so what if there are hackers? (As long as you don't fall into their tricks) And NO, I'm not saying hackers are good. I'm just saying that you can have just as much fun in Whyville with hackers if you are smart enough not to give out your password, or pay someone for hair that you can buy for a little more at Akbar's -- or use the Trading Post if you want to buy something from somebody "off the street".

I just wanted to give my own opinion that some of the things said in the article The Dark Side of Whyville that were a little harsh.

So this is Jersie signing off. Play safe out there, and have fun!
