Lately, in real life and on Whyville, I have seen a lot of anarchy signs. You know, that red A with a circle around it? Most people think that its just a cool symbol, and don't know the real meaning. My friend was wearing one the other day, and when I asked her about it she said something like, "Oh! I thought it was just a skate symbol or something!" Well, it's not. By wearing it, it means that you are an anarchist or you support anarchy.

A person who believes is an anarchy is called an anarchist, which means: \An"arch*ist\, n. [Cf. F. anarchiste.] An anarch; one who advocates anarchy of aims at the overthrow of civil government.

Okay, you got that? I'll explain it a little further. An anarchist is someone who wants to get rid of the government. That means no laws or control on what we do. Sounds cool, right?

WRONG.

I never realized how much the Government keeps us civilized and in control. It may not sound good, but it IS. The Government controls the roads we drive on, keeping them clean and safe. They regulate the condition of the foods we eat, so that we don't eat spoiled or poisonous foods. They screen everyone that comes into the country, so that terrorists are not a threat to us.

Sure, our Government (I am writing this about the American government, personally, though I imagine all this applies to other countries, too) has made some mistakes. But think of how much they keep us safe and alive, and the bad people and things they HAVE caught. Think of all the bad people, the child molesters and murderers that are now in prison so that our streets are safe.

Well, that's about it. I would really like to hear from a Pro-Anarchy Whyvillian, so please send in your comments and write a good article for the Times!

Signing off, this is elzbth02.
