Hi, I'm luvnboyz1 and I've been checking out Whyville over these last couple of days. I've noticed a lot of different things that just hit me.

Girls are more worried about what face parts to buy than to realize what this web sights really made for. Some girls are taking advantage of Whyville, and just playing, chatting, or shopping. They are doing everything except one thing: learning.

Whyville used to be a place of learning. Whyville has even added new games/rooms to improve learning. Games/rooms such as: Tic-Tac-Toe, checkers, Chinese checkers, and the Greek theatre. When I am outside of the Illusions House, the only room I see people go into is the Spin Speak. Oh, maybe one person went to the Gallery, but that's it.

I don't even see people there, but then I go to the beach and what do I see? Like 50 people chatting away. Now, I'll admit, of course I do chat once in a while, but not all day long. I spend most of my time exploring all of Whyville.

People just don't want to learn anymore, it's like all they want to do is get clams and buy stuff. If more people would just come to these places and check out some of the scientific facts, they would find it quite interesting, and that there's more to Whyville than clams. There's learning.

Whyville is a wonderful place with nice people and nice city workers. It is by far the best place to learn and have fun at the same time. But some people still continue to take advantage.

Sincerely,
luvnboyz1

Editor's Note: While I am always in favor of getting more citizens to be aware of their learning, I'm also always surprised by this one statistic that City Hall quotes: for every person on Whyville who's chatting away, there are two if not three playing games, reading the Times, working on face parts or doing other, non-chat room activities. That's a pretty good number, indicating a lot of learning going on! Now, what if folks talked more about what they're learning -- asking questions of each other and themselves -- in chat, say, half the time? What would this world be like then? Hmm...
