The last couple of weeks there has been a rumor circulating in Whyville that the city workers are thinking about starting a magazine about Whyville. I am here to tell you that the rumor is true!

We have been thinking about starting a real magazine that Whyvillians could get delivered to their real homes. This magazine, which we are thinking of calling The Whyvillian, would be just as different from other magazines as Whyville is different from other websites. It would include special articles for newbies and tips for being successful in Whyville (yes, including how to earn more clams!!!). Your Whyville friends like Akbar, Mimi, and even the aliens have all said they would be willing to contribute stories (Mimi told me that she is going to write a poem about our taxi driver, Sergio; I hope Sergio isn't too embarrassed!!). The science pieces that make Whyville famous will be there, too. And there will be articles that help you understand the games and activities on Whyville, like the Solstice Safari, or the Great Balloon Race. And we expect there will be Whyville fashion pages, and even probably a gossip column.

But most importantly, just like Whyville itself, The Whyvillian will include your faces, your writings, your stories, and your ideas. For that reason, we would like to hear what you think about this magazine. Do you think this is a good idea? Do you like the title? What are your ideas for articles and features? Would you like to write for the Whyvillian? As always in Whyville, we would really like to hear from you!!

Of course, we haven't made the final decision yet, but we are intrigued about the possibility of having a real magazine that represents the best of our community.

So, everyone send us all your ideas!!
