Hey, Twigsy here. It's the summer, the best time of the year to be bored. So, when you're bored, you'll do anything to find something fun. Right? Well, that's how I feel. So I went around Whyville (which is much more exciting when you explore instead of shopping, Whymailing and chatting with your friends in your favourite rooms), and did some tests and experiments, just to see where Whyville is at.

Grandma's House
First of all I went and hung out at Grandma's, to see how many people go to each station to get parts, bricks or furniture. I sat here for about 5 minutes, watching people come in.

Immediately 2 people came in. One girl kept going back to the Brick station. The other went to the face, and then the furniture station. Here are my specific results:

Face:19
Brick: 15
Furniture:16

There were tons of people! Many of them went to different stations, so I counted them as many times as they went, just to be sure.

What I feel proved through this test is that a lot of Whyvillians are thirsty for whatever they can get their hands on. So I went and donated some stuff to Grandma, just so their time wouldn't be wasted.

One last thing I noticed at Grandma's is that as she waves her finger, when it goes down, her skin turns a little green, and when it goes up, it turns back to normal. Maybe she is getting sick of me already...!

Themed Faces
A lot of people love themes, like punks, skaters (or as they like to call themselves, sk8ers), even their favourite cartoon or animal. So I went to each room to see just how normal these people think they are and how many people throughout Whyville are brave enough to be (or feel that they are) different.

Goths/Punks: 15
Animals: 6
Pirates: 3
Dressy: 4
Sk8ers: 5
Coloured Skin (not white): 2
Colour-Themed: 5
Other Themes: 4

At the time I went, there were a lot of casual, colorful people at the beach and a lot of punk/goth people in Sector Y. I didn't count the casual people because there were just too many of them! More than 100!

Exploring all these places, I realized there are tons of people in Whyville. They are all over the place, with not one chat room empty (except for around the world in the Warp Wagon; I didn't check there).

Another thing I noticed while observing these people's outfits is that there are a lot of people with blonde and/or brown hair, but not many with black or odd colours.

Petitions and Face Parts Disappearing
I noticed a lot of petitions still about our face parts disappearing. Haven't you read the newspaper, people!? They aren't deleting all of the parts, just the ones in the store (not the ones you had as of a few weeks ago). Although, I still think we should get a delete button instead of just deleting them out of nowhere.

I am a designer... or hope to be a designer one day in Whyville. I started a year or two ago and now I have a pretty good store(s). So are you saying that I will only have one store now because all my face parts will be gone? All those countless hours spent on perfecting new ideas gone to waste? Note to City Hall: PLEASE just make a delete option for us in the Face Factory when we go to restock. A lot of my old face parts are in the No Store because I am too ashamed for anybody to see how bad they are. I bet a lot of good designers were once as bad as me and want to delete their bad face parts, not their good ones! A delete button would give the designer the option of which parts to throw away. It would really help! Believe me!

Editor's Note: This article was written before the buyback began; the author may approve of this form of a "delete" button. City Hall has told me that a designer-delete button may be available soon, as well.

Now, I understand Whyville wants to be like real life. This is what made me think harder. In real life, designers in your favourite stores are always selling out and creating new ideas, and once the whole store is full they can't expand if it's in a mall, so they get rid of the old ones that were on sale from last month or so. But these people are making a living out of this. They are earning real money. Whyville is just a website. All we can do with our money is buy face parts, bricks and furniture. Once we have everything else, it's just the new face parts we buy. We don't pay taxes or buy food. We just make more parts and more parts. So I'm stuck on whether I'm up for the face factory parts disappearing or whether I'm against it.

More petitions are about Senators, petes, movies, clam earning, plots, censors and taping, proms, more chat rooms, transfer fees, free clams for newbies, resaurants, full bodies, and the odd idea that nobody has thought of plus the ones with no names (just like 'LOOK HERE!' or 'PLEASE READ AND VOTE!'). Quite exciting...

So I've already wasted what seems to be an hour writing this, just to occupy you for 5-10 minutes of reading. Hope you enjoyed it!
