Hello everyone, this is america07. I would like to announce that I have written
a letter to Rosario Marin, former U.S. Treasurer, who is now running for Senator
of California.
In this letter, I explained what Whyville was, how it functions, its main
purposes, its educational games, and about the fact that the city workers rent
their computers from a computer farm all the way across the country. I had
interviewed the Senator for my mother's TV show, and that's where I got the
idea for asking her to sponsor Whyville.
Rosario loves helping kids, especially girls, and I think the fact that most of
Whyville's citizens are girls will really encourage her to look into the opportunity of
helping us kids learn and have fun at the same time by sponsoring Whyville.
If she decides to sponsor us, I have this hope that there wouldn't be that much of a need for
Why-Passes, and everyone could get in. There's no positive answer on
whether or not she'll agree, yet. Maybe she'd want to help, but we'll never
know until we write.
She probably doesn't know how popular Whyville is, but I bet if she read the
letter for the parents to make them "why-wise" she'd be pretty impressed and
would L-O-V-E to help us out.
If you guys want, I can send in THE letter I sent her, but for now, just read
into this and y-mail me if you'd like. You can write to Senator Marin, too, or
to your own Senator!
