I love Whyville. I will admit it. I
like it because you can chat
and learn stuff all at the same time.
This summer I thought my brain was going to turn to mush because I was
in the middle of a transition from middle school to high school. When
my friend Lohagirli told me about Whyville I though, "Hmm, this might
be fun!" So I signed up!
As you all know you can't chat for 5
days
unless your salary is so much. I decided to take that time and explore.
I played the alien
game and I am doing the treasure hunt, too. I thought the Spin Lab was
super fun. The smartcars race is also very educational.
So, I will
admit it. I am kind of a science geek, but hey, I'm not ashamed!
Recently, I
decided to try this Whyville Media Hour thing. So I went to the
Whyville Times
and I copy down the shows and their times. Oh, but wait! I can't watch
all of the shows because I don't get HBO! Some people who play Whyville
don't even have cable!
There are a lot of people out there who
I am
sure would like to participate in Media Hour because they think it is
educational. Why can't they?
Just some food for thought.
