I would just like to clear up some misconceptions about witches.

1. We DO NOT worship the devil. So the devil isn't at all a part of the Wiccan culture.

2. The symbol in the Wiccan religion is the pentacle (the five pointed star with a circle around it). The meaning of this symbol to Wiccans is that each point of the star represents an element spirit, air, fire, water, and earth and the circle around it represents the spirit of the goddess or god.

3. We don't practice black magic. One of the laws in Wicca is "Do what ye will, if ye harms none." Most witches do mostly healing, protection, love, and money spells, and we cast circles.

4. Most witches do not wear all black. If you passed me (yes, I'm a witch) in the street, you probably wouldn't even know I was a witch. I am Wiccan and my closet is made up of blue jeans, t-shirts, and dresses -- I own maybe one black shirt.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope I have cleared some things up about witches.

If you have any more questions about Wicca and witchcraft, feel free to why-mail me, BreezeeL.
