This summer I drove cross-country due to a move. It took us 13 days. During this long car ride I read a lot of books instead of just watching the hills turn into mountains. All the books I read were so good! Right when I got to my new home, I headed straight to the local library. I wanted to recommend some of these great books to you. I read way more then I mention here:

A Wrinkle In Time, Madeline L'Engle -- This book was very good, it is about a brother sister, and a friend who go on a journey to find their father. People who love fantasies will really enjoy this book. Bottom line: 3 1/2 stars.

Many Waters -- A Companion to A Wrinkle In Time -- This book was great, but very long. It is about two twin brothers who mess with an experiment in progress and get shot back in time to when Noah has to build the ark for the great flood. Bottom line: 4 1/2 stars.

Are You There God, It's Me, Margaret?, Judy Blume -- I would really only recommend this book to girls. It is a wonderful book about a girl named Margaret who is growing up. I really really loved it! Bottom line: 5 stars (Judy Blume is one of my favorite authors, so I recommend everything by her.)

Notes From a Liar and her Dog, Gennifer Choldenko -- This book had to be one of my favorites this summer. It is about a girl named Ant (Antonia) who lies about everything. She think her mother is mean, she doesn't look like anybody in her family, she has two perfect sisters, and her dad is almost never around. All Ant has is her little 6 pound dog Pistachio. Read this book and find out if Ant's art teacher can help change Ant. Bottom line: 5 stars.

Well, those are all I have to recommend right now. I hope you all take them into consideration.
